keyboard test drive

yes, the main title of this blog sounds just like the series because it is, in fact, the main inspiration. I have always wanted to be a blogger, but not being fully able to communicate my thoughts in english has been my biggest frustration.

my current (hopefully forever) boyfriend handed me a few accessories he didn't use anymore: a brand-new apple keyboard and mouse. so fancy, btw. thanks, baby.

when I got home, I instantly started using the mouse to edit the footage of a wedding I photographed this weekend. I have a photography and video small business that pays my bills (sometimes).

after spending hours cropping, pasting, renaming, saving, and editing, I decided to unwrap the keyboard and put it to work... to run a keyboard test drive.

it is such an experience to open a new Apple box, tear those suspicious recyclable "Gaussian blurred" pieces of plastic apart, and connect the beautiful tech piece to the computer. the sound of the keys is so inspiring, and it instantly shoots serotonin into my brain, inspiring me to finally start a writing space.

even though I believe it is a strategy to keep a very specific niche attached to the hopeless romantic american lifestyle, there is something fascinating about feeling connected to Carrie's "simple beginnings" and delusions.

exploring, questioning and measuring art, love, money, and addictions while living in Chicago will be my version of the most classic mainstream fairy tales.

I want to be more vocal about how i find balance in this city.
